VP of Sales
Our client, an international manufacturing company headquartered in Houston, is seeking a strong, analytical leader to join as their Vice President of Sales. Obviously, this role will focus on promoting sales growth and brand recognition for the company, including strategic sales planning, staff oversight, partner management, and execution to move company growth forward. While this role will of course have KPIs and metrics to track success, a good understanding of the company’s culture and team will be crucial. Responsibilities include:
- Develop sales strategies, action plans, forecasts, marketing tactics/methods, and budgets, tracking and analyzing for results
- Create programs for employee management, training, and evaluation, including establishment of territories, quotas and goals
- Provide leadership, support, and coaching to both the sales and marketing teams
- Maintain positive vendor relationships with key strategic partners of the company, identifying opportunities for growth and continual improvement
The client is looking for experience, so 10-15 years of sales management and sales experience is required, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution setting. This VP will report directly to the President and be a member of the Leadership Team, requiring extensive experience with leadership, team building up and down the organization, people management, and building a culture of sales success. They are looking for someone who can partner with the President to create innovative, in-depth, and gritty strategies to take the company to the next level.
