Special Events Coordinator Assistant

The purpose of this position is to prepare, coordinate, and organize all Firm events, luncheons, parties and dinners, per the direction and expectation of the Firm, while partnering with all Attorneys on special assignments as directed.


  • Organize and coordinate approximately 20 Events per year for the Firm (including Houston or Austin)
  • Organize, conduct, and lead numerous State and Federal fundraisers each year
  • Organize, conduct, and lead numerous City and County fundraisers each year
  • Prepare and distribute invitations to Events that the firm conducts/contributes
  • Update and maintain political calendar
  • Complete and provide individual contribution forms to candidates; prepare and send calendar invitations to attend Events
  • Fill Associate tables sponsored by the firm
  • RSVP attendance for various events
  • Keep and maintain Accounts Payable filing
  • Register and file all monthly Client Reports
  • Assist with 2-3 major tailgate parties per year
  • Register employees for AWBD Conferences (Mid-winter and Summer)
  • Prepare and conduct all 5th –Week Luncheons
  • Assist with all Firm Employee annual parties, dinners, and events
  • Assist with Firm Employee annual photo
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • High school Diploma
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines with a strict attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of people
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects


  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft Office
  • Often traveling to events offsite
  • Must have reliable transportation
