Our client, a south Houston utilities-focused company, is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to focus on the network and server infrastructure of the company.
All aspects of administration, including design, installation, security, administration, modification, maintenance and support of the physical and virtual systems, as well as the needs of users at all levels. Responsibilities include:
- In-depth troubleshooting of system, network, and hardware/devices in corporate office, regional offices, and project locations (mainly remote support).
- Manage carriers, vendors, and 1-2 direct report staff, troubleshooting as needed to address issues
- Oversight of phone system, in coordination with Service Desk, for all locations
- Management of service desk tickets, documentation, and resolution
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, MIS or equivalent needed, along with 8-to-10 years’ experience managing a network of at least 1,000 stations. Microsoft and Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCENT, CompTIA a+ / CompTIA Network+) required. Strong communication and customer services skills are needed, as well as great attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
