Our international law firm client in Downtown is in need of a sharp, experienced Legal Assistant to support a tax Attorney. This role will involve drafting pleading, correspondence, and other documents for review. You will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and have great attention to detail. You must also have at least four years’ experience with tax, corporate, or litigation background. Additional duties listed below-

  • Maintain attorney’s calendar
  • Schedule meetings between clients, court personnel and attorneys
  • Prepare client engagement letters and complete new client form
  • Manage expense reporting and input billing hours
  • Open new matters as needed
  • E-File court filings and documents
  • Assist Attorney in preparation of meetings
  • Handle miscellaneous secretarial requests
  • Maintain attorney reading and working files
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and conference calls
  • Create and manage expense reports/files
  • Enter time and mileage into the software for Attorneys
  • Print out, copy, fax and scan documents
  • Greeting guests and answer phones
  • Assist with organization of office, conference room and kitchen as needed
  • Process mail, deliveries and incoming packages
