Our client near Downtown Houston is seeking a Controller to facilitate senior-level leadership in managing financial operations throughout multiple organizational levels, collaborating with cross-functional teams in managing projects, financial data, and strategic operations. They are looking for someone that has prior start up experience and have has worked previously in healthcare. Responsibilities include-

  • Establish compliance with local, state, and federal government tax filings, assisting executive management in securing additional state tax rebates utilizing industrial tax exemptions
  • Oversee and control all month end and year end close activities
  • Oversee and control the monthly payroll process
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing reports
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Collaborate with internal and external audit to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
  • Evaluate all key accounting systems and processes and, where appropriate, implement changes and improvements to optimize them

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance required with a minimum of ten years’ experience. Expert level proficiency in Quickbooks, along with general tech-savviness, and uncompromising time management skills are required.
